Friends of Eddie Coyle Blu-ray

'The Friends of Eddie Coyle' Director: Peter Yates (1973) Eureka Masters of Cinema Blu-ray

Taut crime drama meets character study. Robert Mitchum stars as an aging gunrunner operating at street level in Boston's criminal underworld - his professional orbit made up of 'bottom rung' mobsters. His loyalties come under pressure when he faces the threat of a prison sentence. The naturalistic performances and location filming combine to give a definite feel of gritty authenticity.
