Pierrot le Fou DVD

'Pierrot le Fou' Director: Jean-Luc Godard (1965) French w/ English subtitles

Jean-Paul Belmondo and Anna Karina are the couple on the run - him from bourgeois society, her from hit men. They have a romantic idea of bettering themselves intellectually and philosophically along the way. A film which uses vivid colours to great effect recalling comic book panels or advertising, a pop art aesthetic which also satirises consumerism.
